Mr. Collins, former president of NYMEX who founded the Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME) and created Clearport Clearing—the first commercially successful OTC clearing platform—which was acquired by CME Group in 2002. During his three-year tenure at NYMEX, Mr. Collins brought the exchange into a new era of electronic trading and increased shareholder value from $600 million to $2.7 billion. Additionally, he led the exchange to an initial S&P credit rating of A++ and its recognition by Energy Risk magazine as the 2004 “Exchange of the Year.” In 2008, in partnership with NASDAQ, Mr. Collins was a founding partner in a new clearinghouse, the International Derivatives Clearing Group (IDCG), which was later sold to LCH.Clearnet.

Mr. Collins is an active entrepreneur and respected fintech professional currently involved in successful ventures such as Matrix Global (www.matrix.global), the first crude oil storage auction platform. He has also launched Renovatio PR (www.renovatiopr.com), an incubator initiative focused on innovative solutions such as digital assets and blockchain technology to improve infrastructure development, physical logistics, financial trading and exchange clearing.
